How do I get started at FitStop Romsey?

Congratulations!  The fact that you are reading this means you're well on your way to kick-starting a new health and fitness journey. 

We understand the challenges of starting something new like CrossFit.  It is scary and if you have researched CrossFit you will have undoubtedly seen lots of really fit and strong guys and girls lifting lots of weights.  They are the minority.  CrossFit is available to all and that is the beauty of it - everyone can come to FitStop Romsey and make progress in a friendly, fun and supportive environment.

 

We have  a number of ways to get started at FitStop Romsey.

Drop-In/Taster Session.

If you have tried CrossFit before; at FitStop Romsey or another facility you are welcome to come along to a drop-in session.  Please contact us before booking in to discuss your previous training and ensure that it is suitable to drop-in.  We will discuss what is planned that day and make sure you are confident with the movements.

Beginner Sessions.

We run a FitStop Basics class on a Monday and Wednesday at 18:30.  This is a great introduction in to CrossFit.  We run CrossFit Basics alongside a standard CrossFit class and keep the movements aligned as much as possible to give a good feeling for what a class is like.  The primary difference is that the intensity is reduced and there is closer guidance from the coaches to ensure perfect form and correct movements.

Open Gym

Its not just CrossFit here at CrossFit Romsey and we understand CrossFit may not be for everyone.  We have fantastic facilities and lots of space so offer an Open Gym for those that want to train in their own way, whether that is power-lifting, bodybuilding, cardio focused or a little of everything.  The equipment is available for use throughout our opening hours.
